Florida Regime
In 2021 I decided to rebrand my music. The reasons for this are many, but essentially boil down to the fact that I wished to convey a more chill, tropical, and Florida vibe. As a part of this effort, I designed a new logo, various promotional materials, business cards, and even built a mobile DJ booth featuring the brand.
A website is also forthcoming, though it is not yet complete. Busy busy!
Florida Regime Brand
The “FR” logo, with a stylized icon of Florida serving as the F, is the primary brand identity for Florida Regime. It conveys the Florida tropical vibe well, and ties into a common practice in the music industry to reverse lettering (think Fender).
Though the logo itself is merely the FR symbol, I tie it into tropical backgrounds with a lot of intense graphical flair for most actual uses. The entertainment nature of the logo means reversing the usual practice of relatively flat design that is used more often in b2b settings.
Branding the Booth
As part of the branding effort, I built a DJ mobile DJ booth on casters, with all wiring tucked inside, featuring a light up panel and the Florida Logo applied directly to the front.
It was fun to create a more real world design.
Flyers
The relative simplicity of the FR logo allows it to be used in a variety of flyer designs, and still look cohesive.
This was from a livestream Halloween event which also encompassed approximately 200 people in an outdoor setting, albeit with proper social distancing measures.
Trance: 001 Flyer
This flyer was created both for the local community in print form, and in various dimensions for web promotional materials. The text is relatively simplistic, but it utilizes a similar complex graphical style as the first branding concept.
The flexibility of the FR logo with various color combinations helps create visual excitement and promotional variety, while preserving the overall brand.
Early Website
The early website is much more subdued than the flyer designs, to draw attention to the appropriate links. This is opposite of the “crazy promotional flyer” look used in some of the promos.
